Livestock Guardian Dogs and Their Friends

Quotes We have owned our Anatolian, Matilda, for 2 years. The "flock" she guards is our 5 young children. She is gentle with the children. She has never shown aggression with them, even when the small ones take her food or lay on her like a big bean bag chair. When the kids are outside, she is outside near them. On one occasion our 18 month old boy wandered off into the woods behind our house when we were not looking. When we found him wandering along a forest path Matilda was at his side (looking worried.) On another occasion I woke to her barking in the AM. She was on watch in my vegetable garden, keeping a racoon at bay who was after my ripe sweet corn. She has also taken care of several critters she has caught snooping around our chicken coop at night. She is by far the best dog we have ever owned. As long as we have a farm we will have an Anatolian. You have to meet an Anatolian to appreciate the nobility of this great breed. Thanks Debbie. Alison DuBois Quotes

Anatolian Owner- 2 years

Quotes Debbie, Thank you so much for introducing Lucy to our family! She is absolutely beautiful and extremely intelligent. She loves the kids and they love her. They just love telling people that we own "the biggest dog ever!" The training is going awesome. Within two weeks she has learned the commands 'sit', 'down', 'stay', and 'come' and responds to them consistently. I wasn't sure how she would do with the other dogs, but I should not have worried. They get along very well, and Norman is very happy to have another girlfriend even if she is twice his size. She is also doing great with the chickens. I've been watching her very close with them, and so far she has shown very good guardian instincts. I truly appreciate all the time that you spent answering my questions and addressing my concerns. Good luck with your future litters and I will definitely recommend your pups to all my friends. Quotes

New Anatolian Shepherd owner!!!

Quotes Debbie: Dave and I wanted to let you know how much we love our new pup, Quinn. We have had Quinn for 3 weeks now and he is so adorable!. He gets along so well with our other 2 dogs, Maximus and Logan. He is healthy and growing quickly (as we expected)! We have been socializing him with other dogs and people. He is well mannered in public and already on 'guard duty' at home. Everyone who sees Quinn tells us how beautiful he is and asks us about the breed. If anyone is in the market for an Anatolian Shepherd puppy, I would highly recommend they talk to you! I posted some pictures on the website. Thanks again for our wonderful pup! Quotes Debbie and Family: We just want to thank you so very much for "Tyson", our wonder pup! He had to endure 5 hours in the car to Chicago, then 5 hours to Eau Claire, WI. the next day and we couldn't have asked for a better puppy. No accidents!! What more could you ask for?! He has a wonderful personality and has fit right in with our family. He seems to draw a lot of attention for the simple reason that there are no other Anatolians in our area and most people have not seen the breed. They are all instantly impressed with him and everyone comments on what a great pup he is. (The fact that he is a very big boy doesn't hurt either!!!) Besides being a beautiful dog, he is also extremely calm and well mannered for a 10 week old pup. He is absolutely wonderful with our 2 1/2 year old grandson. We really can't begin to thank you enough for the love and attention you gave him before he came home with us. We know that's why he is such a good pup now. We will keep you posted! Skrtics Quotes

lovin our pup!

Quotes A couple of years ago I had 100 cornish-rock chickens out on pasture inside movable pens. In one night we lost all 100 birds to coyotes. They had ripped through the chicken wire and dug beneath the pens. After speaking to Debbie I realized that I could be back in the chicken business again with one of these awesome dogs. Annie is only 9 weeks old but is showing her ability to guard and protect already. The whole family just loves this big-little pup. Every farmer with livestock should have one! Quotes
